Tentative Schedule:

February 6: arrival, February 7-14: lectures, February 15: departure

 

Topics:

Examples of equations with strong singularities- motivation; Review of distribution theory;  Special Colombeau algebra, Fourier analysis; Differential geometry-smooth manifolds;  Flows and vector fields; Method of characteristics; Semilinear wave equation; Distributions on manifolds; Singular support, wave front set, characteristics; Colombeau algebra on manifolds; Symmetries of differential equations; Full algebra; Hoelder and Zigmund regularity; Applications in general relativity.

  

Exercises will follow the lectures.
