Research areas

Centre for Mathematical Research of Nonlinear Phenomena is a research unit at the Department of Mathematics and Informatics, Faculty of Science, University of Novi Sad. The main research areas are functional analysis, PDEs and numerical methods for nonlinear equations (PDEs and nonlinear optimization). At the present time the Center gathers together researchers from 3 research groups financed by the Ministry of Science, Republic of Serbia.

They merged in order to establish closer cooperation, increase the level of scientific results, promote the cooperation between mathematics and applied science and technology, stimulate interest for science among young people and further development of international cooperation in applied mathematics.

Joined human potential with overlapping research interest and cooperation of researchers with different strong points is expected to lead to new significant results

The Center 16 PhD researchers.

CMRNP is already a point of attraction for young researchers at national level. Researchers at the Center conducted more than 25 PhD thesis and 30 master thesis. Right now there are 9 master students and 7 PhD students doing research with CMRNP personnel.

International scientific cooperation exists with a large number of EU universities, universities in USA, Canada, South America and WBC. Several internationally funded projects are coordinated by researchers from CMRNP.
